Chad Grant was born and raised within a 30 mile radius of Nashville, TN (other than a couple of High School years near Birmingham, AL). His mother introduced him to the musical world and there were times when young Chad would be sitting between the guitar and bass amps with earmuffs on in their living room while she rehearsed with her band. He was introduced to older Pop and Rock groups like The Beatles, Rolling Stones and The Carpenters to newer acts such as The Pretenders, Billy Joel, and Journey. In addition, there was always music in the house spanning pretty much and genre you could think of…especially when he discovered Hard Rock and Metal.

Wanting to start a band with a friend, he acquired his first Bass guitar as a Christmas present from his Dad when he was 13 and has not put it down since. From early experiences playing in Rock bands, High School Jazz Band, and College Commercial Music Ensembles; Chad has played and toured in many groups as a member, hired gun, or studio musician in and around the Middle Tennessee area. Finally getting to play all of the McCartney parts in a tribute to the amazing music of The Beatles feels like coming full-circle and he is looking forward to performing for all the fellow Beatles fans.

1. Favorite Beatles Album: Revolver…some of the best bass lines on that album, in my opinion. Clearly, Paul’s playing is iconic all-around, but this album really speaks to me as a bassist, especially.

2. Favorite Beatle: Paul McCartney…as a bassist, as a songwriter, and just a cool chap!

3. Who are some of your musical influences: My Mom, The Beatles (of course), Faith No More, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Prince, Metallica, Primus, RUSH, Christopher Cross (and all things Yacht Rock, really), Stephen Bishop, Parliament Funkadelic, Maynard Ferguson, Chuck Mangione, and so many others.

4. Current artist you are listening to: Usually whatever I am woodshedding for the next show I am involved in…but I keep the radio in my truck dialed in to Yacht Rock Radio on SXM more often than not.

5. Favorite food on the road: Mexican, Pizza, and Burgers.
